Glyph Language Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and exceptionally resourceful Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a key member of the Glyph Global Client Experience team; working independently and in close collaboration with team members, the BDM wins customers in the areas of eLearning, talent development, training, and also in creative and educational products and services. The BDM guides new accounts into and through Glyph’s business development processes, building made-to-measure solutions, and growing them into lasting, loyal Glyph advocates. The right candidate for this job must possess strong organizational skills and an ease working both independently and collaboratively with team members. The BDM must also have exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, a talent for coordinating multiple stakeholders and a facility resolving problems creatively and under pressure. The BDM is responsible for hitting and exceeding sales goals.

Glyph is headquartered in Spokane WA; however, this is a remote position. The job duties can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Create, implement sales strategies for new business development
  • Identify and engage in timely manner with clients/prospective clients to identify their needs and requirements to close new business opportunities
  • Develop and grow established accounts as assigned, introducing new services and finding new or additional work within client organizations
  • Meet monthly and quarterly lead and client quotas and revenue goals
  • Contribute to a collaborative, consultative selling process, bringing in team member subject matter experts as appropriate to help educate clients and develop strategic and customized client solutions
  • Cooperate with marketing and account management to transition clients at appropriate moments in the client lifecycle
  • Drive RFQ/RFP/RFI and quoting process and negotiate client contract terms and conditions (MSAs, SLAs, SOWs) in collaboration with Glyph leadership
  • Ensure CRM (e.g., HubSpot) data is maintained in real-time state and reports on sales pipeline are up-to-date
  • Maintain current knowledge of the language services industry, market and competitor trends and developments in order to grow and develop business development strategies
  • Develop and maintain extensive product and industry expertise, including tools, solutions and trends of the language services industry and the assigned client industries

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years in language services industry
  • Experience with business development and sales in the area of eLearning, training and talent development preferred
  • Knowledge in language services industry tools (CAT, TMS), processes and trends
  • Experience with full corporate sales life cycle (lead generation to close and beyond) of large corporate/long-term deals
  • Familiarity with marketing and sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • History of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Applied experience in eLearning, training or education a plus

  • Up to 25% travel (trade shows, client visits, company meetings)
